The development of this project was already planned, but due the explosion of last Tuesday January 14, the self-funded study will start immediately.

The Catalan Water Partnership, with the suport of Institut de Recerca de l'Aigua and ACCIÓ, have organized the first edition of the Water Talks, entitled "Els microplàstics: Problemàtica, projectes actuals, reptes i tendències en el futur", in english Microplastics: the problem, current research, challenges and future trends).

Prof. Marta Schuhmacher, director of TecnATox, participated in the round table where challenges and future trends of microplastics will be discussed.

The event took place last December 11 at "Sala Antiga de Graus" of the Faculty of Physics, Universitat de Barcelona (UB).

One more year, Dr. Noemí Serra and Dr. Roser Esplugas will participate in the divulgative talks of La Marató. La Marató is a solidarity event organized annually by the Public Catalan TV (TV3) and the "La Marató de TV3 Fundation". This year, all funds will go the research projects focused on minority diseases.

Prof. Maria Teresa Colomina, director of the "Neurotoxicology, Psychopharmacology and Behavioral Science" area of TecnATox, together with researchers from UNED and Universidad de Oviedo, have recently conducted the following radio show: "Multiple influences that shape behavior: Psychoexposome".
The interest in health care and well-being in the European Union is reflected in the main research priorities of the Horizon 2020 Program on social challenges, in which the project Multiple influences that shape behavior: Psychoexposome. Eight research groups from different Spanish Universities participate, including TecnATox from URV, determined to deepen the study of the biological markers of risk of the appearance of life-related diseases and create strategies to reduce the risk factors, in addition of spreading such knowledge nationally and internationally.
