World Alzheimer's Day, an event created by the World Health Organization (WHO) and sponsored by Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) in 1994. It is an event in which all entities in the world linked with this condition share with the society the main concerns and needs of the millions of affected people. Alzheimer's disease is the most common dementia and it represents between 60 and 70% of cases. There are more than 900,000 diagnosed people in Spain, and 100,000 of them live in Catalonia.
